Peabody – Young Leaders & Ambassadors

We had previously worked on the participant-facing promotional materials for the project which were fun and bright with a distinctive illustration-led design style. For the website we knew that a slightly different approach would be required as here the target audience were project partners, funding/awards bodies and media. We narrowed in on a colour palette and design style that are closely aligned with Peabody’s main corporate identity, but still with its own unique feel.

At the core of the website’s content is an archive of short case studies, capturing the range of past projects the Young Leaders & Ambassadors scheme has supported. These needed to have a fairly structured feel, but with the flexibility to vary in format to adapt to the content available for each. This could include participant quotes, key stats, photographs and other media.

At the point of launch the project had already supported more than 30 Young Leaders to engage more than 400 young people across the Peabody communities. But this was only the start. We knew it was important that the site was flexible enough to grow with the project. So we built in options for more granular categorising of case studies that could be added as the pool of content grew. These also aid content discovery by allowing ‘similar’ projects alongside individual case studies.

The website is based on a fully modular Responsive design twinned with flexible content management. This approach offers great scope for the team at Peabody to easily create entirely new pages from combinations of different page elements all through the CMS.

We have been fortunate to work with Peabody on a number of projects, including the award-winning OiMySize and Your Choice Your Future. So it has been really pleasing to see this latest initiative go from strength to strength.
